



Cecilia is a dedicated educator with a passion for helping young learners thrive. She holds a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Texas-El Paso and holds a Texas Certification in Special Education and General Education for Pre-K through 4th grade.
With 33 years of teaching experience in Texas, Cecilia has worked in various educational settings, always striving to support children in reaching their full potential. She began her career providing one-on-one therapy for children with speech, hearing, language, and learning challenges before transitioning into the classroom.
For16 years, she served as a Primary Level Special Education teacher, working with children with special needs, including Autism, Asperger's, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Deaf / Hard of Hearing, and Learning Disabilities. She tailored her instruction to meet the unique needs of each of every student.
In 2001, she moved into Regular Education Kindergarten and First Grade classrooms, continuing to apply her expertise in individualized instruction. Cecilia continues teaching as a guest teacher within the Hays County ISD district, working with PreK - 2nd Grade children.
A lifelong learner, Cecilia embraces new challenges and continually seeks opportunities for growth. Her dedication and commitment to education were recognized when she was honored, by her peers, as Teacher of the Year on her campus while working for the Austin Independent School District.
